VFEAR!!!

Monday, February 23rd, 2009
With VFEAR almost upon us, training this week will be fairly light for most squads.
Selection letters will be in pigeon-holes over the next 24 hours.

There are two important team-bonding and social events to emphasise this
week. After Circuits on Thursday evening there will be an informal team
meal at the Hawks’ Club. Everyone is encouraged to come along and relax with
the rest of the team in the build up to the match.

Immediately after VFEAR we will be returning to Cambridge, as it has proved
impossible to find a venue near Lee Valley to eat with the Oxford team.
Consequently, we will be celebrating with a team meal at the Curry King,
starting at 8.00pm.

If you have an questions about VFEAR, please contact either Jon Cook, or your
Captain (Lucy Spray or Dave Nefs). For a timetable of events, click on the link under
upcoming events, to the right of the Homepage.

RAF Invitational - Wednesday February 18th

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

As VFEAR approaches it is more and more important for athletes to get a competition under their belt.  Whether this is to fight for a place in the VFEAR team, or simply to sharpen up before the match, the RAF Indoor Invitational provides a great opportunity.  Held in the EIS in Sheffield, against not onlt the RAF, Army and Navy but against some of the best sporting Universities in the country, the standard is perfect for 10 days before VFEAR.

REMEMBER: If you wish to compete NEXT WEDNESDAY, please contact your captain (Lucy Spray or Dave Nefs) as soon as possible!
