FACILITIES AND WEEKLY SCHEDULE
We train at the Cambridge University Athletics Track at Wilberforce Road. The track is just a 5-10 minute cycle from the centre of town and is fully equipped with 8 lanes and facilities for all field events. The site also has a large pavilion with plenty of changing rooms and a large communal room upstairs for team meetings and stretching, as well as smaller rooms for physiotherapy sessions and first aid.
Training times can vary between squads, but generally there are club sessions at the track at the following times:
Monday: 16.30 - 18.30
Wednesday: 14.00 - 17.00
Saturday: 12.00 - 14.30
UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE SPORTS CENTRE
We have strength and conditioning sessions in the University Sports Centre at the following times during term time:
Tuesdays: 16.00 - 17.00
Thursdays: 17.30 - 18.30
Students can also sign up for membership of the gym facilites at the sports centre. Many colleges also have their own gyms, which our athletes make good use of.
During the winter months, some of our squads will occassionaly travel to Lee Valley or Bedford for indoor training sessions. Both are under an hours drive away. We also hold our indoor Varsity Match against Oxford at Lee Valley in the Spring.
